Trouble

Trouble is aptly named. Although she is a delight to live with, being very sweet and loving, she keeps managing to get herself into strange situations.

She was co-bred by Sue Mesa and was born at her house. Her mom is Ling-Ling of the Animal Planet program fame. When Trouble was 6 weeks old, she came to live at our house. We had a 6-week old litter of 9 at the time, and I thought how much more trouble could one puppy be? Whenever there was a puppy doing something naughty -- it was Trouble. And, she taught all the other puppies to do it, too. She is smart as a tack and absolutely confident in all situations.

Trouble's show career was equally interesting. Never shown as a puppy, she came out in the spring of 1999 and earned all her minor points before becoming totally hairless. We waited until the fall to show her again, and after a couple false starts, Trouble earned her majors by winning back-to-back five point majors on the TOUGH Soaring Gull circuit. She beat 30+ class dogs each day!

Trouble is the dam of Ch. Phi-Vestavia Stork Drop. She had Rudy in the middle of December 1998 -- and this was a total surprise. Patrick did not realize she had been bred, didn't notice she was pregnant and found Rudy in the middle of the den floor. Trouble did pretty good in producing such a nice son and we look forward to more nice puppies later in 2000 -- and this litter will be planned!
