We both got into Bengals by purchasing Show Alters -- those pets who are pretty enough to compete in the show ring.  But the main reason we became involved in Bengals is because of their wonderful temperament.  Although all our Bengals are pets first and foremost, these are the cats who are retired from showing and are living the good life as our treasured babies!

Chewy as a kitten with two different litters of puppies.

(Ch.  Medoz Ain't Misbehavin  x Medoz Tinsel Town)
bred by: Donna Syverson

Chewy is the cat that started it all!  Cathy bought him when he was 12 weeks old.  She initially had her deposit on another kitten, but Chewy bonded to her on her first visit and was still there when she went to pick up the "other" kitten, and she just couldn't resist him.

He came home when she had a litter of Cardigan puppies.  Perhaps Chewy thought he was a puppy, or just developed an affection for the puppies, but ever since then he sleeps with puppies and really enjoys their company.  The amazing thing is that the momma dogs (and there have been many) tolerate him in the box with their newborns.

Chewy as an adult sleeping with his second generation of puppies.  They make very handy pillows.

Chewy was shown a few times as a kitten, but not as an adult.  He was a good show cat, but he had more important duties at home.  We call him the world's best cat.  He loves everyone -- human, feline and canine.  He raises our puppies to be used to cats, and he is an excellent kitten-sitter, too.  He is extremely affectionate, a real head-butting purr machine.  Thanks to Donna Syverson for letting me have this special boy.

Chewy was soon joined by his litter-sister, Mariah.  Mariah was also shown as a kitten, but not as an adult.  She was the mother of two litters before she was spayed.  She is Cathy's special buddy, and although she is friendly to most people, she has her favorites.  She is now spending time as a care-giver to her grandchildren.

Mariah with her charges.  This is Bounce's litter at 4 weeks.

(GRC Medoz Sherman x Medoz Windsprite of Vestavia)
bred by: Cathy Ochs-Cline

Bounce was a singleton kitten who grew up thinking she was human or canine.  I still don't think she has figured out she is a cat.  She is very active, extremely curious and independent.  She has a fantastic temperament and loves to have her toys thrown for her -- for hours!  She was shown as a kitten, but never as an adult.

Flash!!! Bounce has a litter of 4 born April 14, 200.  Visit them Here.

Bounce has had two lovely litters of kittens by Hamlet.  She is now going to be retired to be Hamlet's living companion and our treasured pet.
