1997 Show Happenings
I haven't been to many shows this year. Between family commitments
and puppies, I've been busy with "other stuff." The dogs
have been busy, though. Kim Fitzgerald continues to present
our animals beautifully, so the showing will be left to her.
New Hopefuls . . .
Twinroc Just a Gigolo
(Ch. Phi-Vestavia Nautilus, PT x Ch. Twinroc Tapestry)
"Jiggs" is a stud fee puppy aquired
from Paul and Doris Slaboda. He has been with us since the beginning
of the year. With his sweet face and sound body, we expect great
things from him when he makes his show debut this summer.

Phi-Vestavia Stork Drop
(Ch. Melnibone Belrix x Phi-Vestavia Trouble in Chaos)
They say a surprise is something you didn't know you wanted until you get
it. That's Rudy! Born in the middle of December,
we didn't realize the breeding had taken place. Rudy was the
only puppy, which makes him even more special. He will also
be making his debut in late summer.

Nicky

Jettsetter)
Nicky is pictured at 10 weeks. He is one of the two puppies
we are running on from this litter. Right now he is with Patrick,
getting training and learning how things are done from the big boys.

Nemo

Jettsetter)
Puppy #2 from Jett's litter. Nemo looks very much like
his daddy, with wonderful movement already apparent, along with a sweet
temperament.

Proudly Presenting . . .
Ch./OTCh. Phi-Vestavia Spyglass, UDX, NA, VCX
Sheryl Mills and Carson have ALWAYS
made me proud. Sheryl flew to Washington to pick Carson up when
he was only 7 weeks old. Neither one of us was sure how he would
turn out -- but we hoped for the best. Never did I imagine that
this team would aim so high and achieve so much.
This year Carson and Sheryl earned their Obedience Trial Championship --
one of the toughest titles the AKC offers. How often do you
see a dog go from Novice A to OTCh? Congratulations to this
wonderful team. I'm very proud of the first OTCh. Phi-Vestavia
has produced!
