These puppies were only 2 days over 6 months of age for these wins.  We are VERY proud of them.  They were almost trained, too!

Other antics of the terrible threesome:
Gloria winning the Brood Bitch class with Corey and Fiona
Fiona and her Best Puppy Dragon (which she hated)

Ch. Phi-Vestavia Good Gracious

Gloria was one of the last five dogs in consideration for Best of Breed.  So . . . she got another Award of Merit!  We're still aiming to crack that top award, yet.  We were especially proud of her Brood Bitch win.  Gloria had two 6 month old puppies standing behind her -- well, when they weren't wrestling with each other.  Most of the other bitches had finished champions behind them.  It was a great honor for Gloria to win that class.

This is Credit on the stack.  She sure looks like a normal dog.  Why can't she act like one?
Ch. Phi-Vestavia Evan Evans

(owned by Helen Jones and Bob Caldwell)

is shown going Best of Opposite Sex in last year's Megan competition.  This year he won Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed.

We bid Evan a fond farewell.  He is now in quarantine in England, waiting to join the group of incredible Cardigans at the Joseter Kennels of Peter and Anne Clifton.   Peter handled Evan to his win at this National and they already seem to be a team.

Best of luck to Evan in England!

Eng./Am./Can. Ch. Beckrow Blue Cedar
(owned by Cathy Ochs-Cline, Patrick Ormos, Sheryl Mills & Sandra Tonkyn)

Woody is shown winning his Veterans Sweepstakes Class.  Not too shabby for 13 years old!  We were especially proud that Woody showed so well and had so much fun.  His breeder/owner, Sandra Tonkyn is shown holding Woody's trophy.

I had a lovely time at this year's National.  It was my birthday the night of the Megan and Chowder Buffet, so I had to endure the embarassment of being presented with a cake!  I had my mom with me, so I enjoyed all our wins through her eyes, too. It was good seeing old friends, and meeting new people who have only been names.   The hotel was very nice, the rooms were lovely and the food was excellent.  Another specialty to remember.

In addition to the above wins, Percy won the Stud Dog class for the third time, retiring the Big Boy trophy.  We opted to redonate the trophy and keep it in honor of Ch. Pinehurst Big Boy, a dog I used to handle.  Shadowalk's PV Under a Silver Lining won her sweepstakes class, and silly China, Spectrum Kirnikki New Sensation, placed in both her sweeps and regular puppy classes.  Miss Trouble, Phi-Vestavia Trouble In Chaos, was right behind China in the regular classes.  Everyone did well and we were very proud.

Thanks to everyone on the show committees who made this a wonderful specialty.  We are looking forward to the next National in Dallas!
